Privacy,
beautifully controlled.

Switchable glass and precision-installed PDLC film for exceptional homes in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and the Phoenix Valley.

At one touch, glass moves from open to private.

We bring discretion to the most considered rooms in the home—without heavy drapery, permanent frosting or visual clutter. Clear when you want connection. Softly opaque when the moment calls for privacy.

With power applied, the film aligns to create a clear, light-filled plane that preserves the architecture around it.

Private

At the touch of a control, the surface becomes softly opaque—creating immediate visual privacy while retaining the room's natural glow.

Technology that knows how to disappear.

Lucent Veil treats privacy film as an architectural finish. Every installation is field-measured, carefully detailed and planned around the glass, frames and controls already shaping the space.

Quiet integrationDiscreet edges, thoughtful wire paths and clean controls.
Tailored finishSpecified for the proportions and use of each individual room.

One effect.
Two ways to arrive.

The right specification depends on whether we are working with a finished home, a renovation or a new architectural opening.

01 / RETROFIT

Smart film

Custom-cut PDLC film is professionally applied to suitable existing glass—an elegant route when the glazing is already in place and performing well.

  • For compatible existing windows, doors and partitions
  • Minimal disruption compared with replacing the glass
  • Measured for precise edges, wiring and control placement
02 / INTEGRATED

Smart glass

For new construction or planned glass replacement, the switchable layer can be laminated within the glass assembly and coordinated as part of the architecture.

  • Best considered early with the design and glazing teams
  • Made to order for the opening and glass specification
  • Wiring routes resolved before fabrication and installation

We can join the conversation before glass is ordered—reviewing dimensions, sightlines, switching intent, electrical access and finish details so privacy feels native to the room.

Made for the
rooms that matter.

For spaces where openness and privacy should coexist—without compromising the design.

01

Primary suites

Create calm, flexible separation between sleeping, dressing and bathing areas.

02

Bath & wellness

Bring privacy to glass enclosures and interior windows while preserving ambient light.

03

Home offices

Move between visual connection and a focused, discreet workspace in a moment.

04

Doors & partitions

Transform sliding doors and architectural glass walls without adding visual weight.

As simple as the room requires.

01
Wall control

A discreet, familiar switch for immediate clear-to-private control.

02
Remote control

Convenient control where wall access is limited or several panels move together.

03
Home integration

Where the selected system supports it, privacy can be coordinated with scenes, schedules or broader home controls.

The cleanest installation starts before the film is cut. We plan the busbar edge, low-voltage lead, transformer location and control method as one system—then conceal them within the architecture wherever conditions allow.

Inside the frameLeads and busbars can disappear beneath a compatible glazing cap, trim detail or custom frame channel.
Inside the wallFor renovations and new construction, low-voltage cable can route through a wall cavity to a nearby service location.
Within a finishWhere opening walls is impractical, a slim, color-matched surface channel can create a deliberate architectural edge.

A measured,
considered process.

Luxury lives in the details. We begin with the room, not the product—considering sightlines, light, glass condition, electrical access and the way you actually live in the space.

01 / DISCOVER

Glass, edges, controls and installation conditions are documented with precision.

03 / TAILOR

Project proposal

04 / INSTALL

White-glove finish

Our installation is planned to respect the home, the surrounding finishes and your time.

What refined
privacy really means.

A beautiful result begins with clear expectations. We explain the optical character, electrical requirements and practical limits before anything is ordered.

01

Private, not blackout

The opaque state obscures views while allowing the room to retain a soft, luminous quality.

02

Daylight remains

Privacy does not require closing the room off from natural light or adding a heavy window treatment.

03

Clear has character

Switchable materials may retain a subtle optical haze in the clear state. Product selection and lighting matter.

04

Power is planned

Low-voltage components, wire paths and controls are considered early, then detailed as discreetly as the room allows.

Local by design

Created for desert light and modern living.

Based in Scottsdale and serving Paradise Valley and the greater Phoenix Valley, Lucent Veil brings a highly personal approach to architecturally significant homes, renovations and new builds.

The essential details.

Every opening is different. Final suitability and specification follow a site review.

Can smart film be applied to my existing glass?
Often, yes. Retrofit PDLC film is designed for suitable existing glass, but glass type, condition, dimensions, edge access, exposure and nearby finishes must be assessed first.
Is the private state completely dark?
No. Privacy mode is intentionally luminous rather than blackout. It obscures the view while allowing ambient light to remain in the room.
What happens when power is off?
Standard PDLC systems are typically private when unpowered and clear when powered. Reverse-switching options also exist. We specify the behavior appropriate to the room and project.
How is the glass controlled?
A wall switch or remote is the simplest approach. Selected systems may also support grouping, scheduling or integration with compatible home-control equipment.
Where do the transformer and wires go?
The transformer is placed in an accessible, ventilated service location—often a cabinet, closet, ceiling space or planned wall access point. Low-voltage leads can route through frames, wall cavities or a refined surface channel depending on the construction.
Can it be used on exterior windows?
Exterior applications require a product and glass assembly specifically suited to heat, UV, moisture and edge-sealing conditions. Suitability is determined project by project.
What should I send for an initial conversation?
A few wide and close photographs, approximate glass dimensions, the project address and a note about how the space is used are enough to begin.
